My first weeks

Hello! I have lived in America for four weeks now, and it is amazing! I have explored a lot of new things and did a lot of funny things!

The first week, we went to Chicago, and to the beach in Chicago. I also went to six flags with my host brother, David. Six flags is a big amusementpark and he works in this park so I got free entrance!

Then the football practices started. And from the second week of my exchange year, football was everything. I love to play football, and the boys at the football team welcomed me with open arms!

The school began and now I’m in the school rhythm! Football practices are sometimes before the school and after school, sometimes the practices are just after the school!

I played my first football game on Friday! It was AWSOME!! A lot of people were watching us and it was really fun. Other things that I did this weekend was a Mexican baby shower! And I also went to a baseball game in Milwaukee with my friend on the football team!

New home!

Hello!

I’ve now lived in my new home for a couple weeks! They are very nice!

I haven’t did that much the last weeks. I’ve hanged out with friends and spend time with the new family!

The super bowl was two weeks ago and I went to a super bowl party with my friends! I also saw the Oscars!

Last weekend we went to Wisconsin to the Dells! We went to two water parks and it was so much fun! We also went skiing!

The last weeks

I haven’t did that much the last weeks! I have hanged out with friends, and spend time with my host family.

However, last Saturday I went to Chicago with my host dad to watch a Chicago Bulls game! We spend the whole day in Chicago and we went to the aquarium and the planetarium! It was very cool!

I’m moving to a new family next weekend! I’m excited, but I’m going to miss this family too…

Christmas

Hello! A lot of things have happend so I haven’t got time to write… I’ve been in Nebraska, Utah, New York, Christmas and I had my first American Finals.

However, I started December to visit my friend in Nebraska! We went to a football game and I celebrated thanksgiving in his house!:)

The next weekend, my host family took me to Utah! We went skiing in the mountains and it was very fun to finally ski again!!

Moreover, the next week, we had finals in school! I had to study the whole week… I was tired after that week, but the finals went good!

Then we went down to Chicago! We were on sightseeing and shopping:) We also went to the sky deck!

Christmas week came and I celebrated my first American Christmas! We ate a big dinner on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, we opened the presents! I got a Chicago Bulls jersey and Bulls tickets from my host family!! On Christmas Day we drove down to Emily’s mom and ate dinner and celebrated Christmas Day in south Illinois!

However, the biggest experience the pay weeks was New York! We drove there two days after Christmas Day and we stopped and slept over in Niagara Falls on the American side! Then we went to New York City to celebrate New Years Eve on Times Square😍 I have never seen so many people in my whole life!!!! Two million people, and everyone tries to get into one place! But what an experience!!!!

Now I’m home and prepare for second semester of my senior year on Lakes Community High School!!

Fall

Hello!

The football season is over so after school I’m doing homework and hanging out with friends! I’m going to start on a indoor soccer team! I’m excited!

Last Saturday I went to a college football game. That was very fun. Northwestern vs University of Massachusetts! Notrthwestern won😍 We also did tailgating before the game!

This Saturday I went to Rotary youth assembly! I met a lot of new people and our team on Kahoot won!!!!!! The name on our team was “Go Norway!!!” And today I went snowboarding for my first time ever!!! That was very fun, but my butt is blue and my legs are soar after getting beaten up by the ground😂

This week is it Thanksgiving, and I’m going to meet my Norwegian friend in Nebraska!!! I’m very excited!!!

Halloween

Hello! I am having a blast in America! I’m doing things everyday and I enjoy it!

The football season is over! We reached the state playoffs! But we lost in the first round against Simeon High School… They were a very athletic team. However, now I have time to hang out with friends and explore more of America! (And no more early mornings😊)

This week there was Halloween! All the houses had decorations and there was a lot of nice costumes and candy.

I did pumpkin carving and I went to a pumpkin farm to buy pumkins! It was fun!

Last weekend I was on a marching band contest in Illinois college. They were really good! I also met my host mom’s mother and his brother!

America is really nice and I look forward to more fun!😊

Homecoming

Hello! A lot of things have happened so I haven’t had time to write on my blog!

However, the weeks have been busy, and I have done a lot of fun stuff!

I still play football and we win almost everything! We need to win two more games to be in the play offs and that’s pretty cool!

Yesterday, I was in an auction. Today, I went kayaking and to fright fest in six flags!

The biggest experience was last week. It was the homecoming week at school and me and some other football boys had to dance in front of the whole school with the dance team. Then, we had the homecoming game and then the homecoming dance.

However, the students at the school voted for me to become the homecoming king, so yes, I won the title! I got announced in front of everyone at the homecoming game, and in the assembly, and at the dance! I got a crown and banner!

I love USA!

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
